How to capture your spot...
The deadline for the analogue exhibition has already passed, but you cn still be part of the online gallery.
Basically, what you have to do is to reflect, which spot in or around Cluj means something special for you, take a picture of it and write down your thoughts and ideas connected to that place.
The Spot
Choosing a spot might seem difficult in the beginning, unless your heart is doing a sky.high jump everytime you cross Piaţa Unirii, which seems quite unlikely. But maybe there are some buildings or unusual places, parts of the city that always catch your attention, Or you have a traditional spot for meeting your friends before you go together to dive in to another great night?! Any place that is meaningful or dear to you will do!
Try to describe as detailed as possible, where this spot can be found. |
THe Picture
You have all the freedom in the world for choosing the motive and setting for your picture. It can show only a small detail of a place or the overview of a whole area, it can be in colour or black/white, even a drawing is okay!
Feel free to use any kind of camera that is available to you. A picture in JPEG-format would be easiest for us to handle.. |
The Story
Again, it's your creativity that matters. You want to keep it short? Alright! You are bursting with ideas? Go ahead! (Okay, let's set a limit for one A4-page in standard computer writing). Poetry, fragments, short memories, Romanian or English (in addition you could also send a version in your maybe differing native language!) - everything can do.
It might help to start with thinking about what characterizes this place.. Do you connect it to a certain sound or smell, to special people or to an experience/ event that stayed in your mind until now? Does this spot somehow change the way you see Cluj as a whole? Send us the text either in the e-mail itself or in a Word or OpenOffice document. |
By sharing your picture and story with us, you give us the right to publish them not only on this homepage, but also in one of our exhibitions or in form of printed postcards (if your picture is selected for this, we will let you know). Of course, we will always mention you as the owner of the photo! If you do not agree to any of these terms, please contact us per mail.
